Little Coopers Publishing was founded by the dynamic duo, Siobhain Little and Colin Cooper, both seasoned veterans in the publishing and design industry. Siobhain, Creative Director and Book Designer with over 10 years of experience, and Colin, a marketing strategist and serial entrepreneur with 23 years in the print and publishing space, saw firsthand the pitfalls and barriers that traditional publishing presented to aspiring authors. This ignited their passion to establish Little Coopers Publishing, a company dedicated to transforming the publishing landscape.
The traditional publishing industry often seemed like an impenetrable fortress, creating an uphill battle for many talented writers. The lack of transparency in costs, restrictive contracts, and loss of creative control were all too common issues faced by aspiring authors. Little Coopers Publishing was born out of a desire to challenge this status quo and make publishing accessible, transparent, and author-centric.
Maurice Cooper – Author, Educator, and Storyteller
With a distinguished career as a qualified teacher and electronics engineer, Maurice Cooper has dedicated his life to both technical expertise and the art of storytelling. A graduate with honours in education, Maurice’s journey began with his first story written at the age of 10, sparking a lifelong passion for creating imaginative worlds. Despite the demands of raising a family and a successful career, he continued to write, capturing life’s humour, warmth, and wonder through his stories.
Now, at 73, Maurice is finally bringing these cherished tales to life through Little Coopers Publishing, a family-run venture that celebrates the Coopers’ collective love for storytelling. As an integral part of Little Coopers Publishing, Maurice’s work embodies the spirit of family, creativity, and dedication. His stories speak not only to young readers but also to the young at heart, inviting all to explore tales crafted with the wisdom of a life well-lived and the creativity of a lifelong dreamer.
